缅甸联邦共和国（英语：The Republic of the Union of Myanmar），简称缅甸（Myanmar），是东南亚的一个国家，也是东南亚国家联盟的成员国。西南临安达曼海，西北与印度和孟加拉国为邻，东北靠中国，东南接泰国与老挝，首都为内比都，人口5458万（2020年4月），共有135个民族，全国85%以上的人信奉佛教，全国分7个省、7个邦和2个中央直辖市。

缅甸1044年形成统一国家，先后经历了蒲甘王朝、东吁王朝和贡榜王朝。1824年至1885年间英国先后发动了三次英缅战争并占领了缅甸，1886年英国将缅甸划为英属印度的一个省。1948年1月脱离英联邦宣布独立，成立缅甸联邦。1974年1月改称缅甸联邦社会主义共和国。1988年9月，以国防部长苏貌为首的军人接管政权。1988年9月改名为“缅甸联邦”。2008年5月，新宪法规定实行总统制。2011年2月，缅甸国会选出吴登盛为缅甸第一任总统。2016年3月，缅甸联邦议会选出吴廷觉为半个多世纪以来缅甸首位民选非军人总统。2021年2月1日，缅甸总统温敏、国务资政昂山素季及一些民盟高级官员被军方扣押。4月16日，缅甸联邦议会代表委员会宣布成立民族团结政府，温敏任总统。

缅甸自然条件优越，资源丰富，是世界最不发达国家之一，以农业为主，从事农业的人口超过60%，农产品有稻米、小麦、甘蔗等，缅甸为东盟成员国，已加入东盟自贸区、中国—东盟自贸区、韩国—东盟自贸区、日本—东盟自贸区、印度—东盟自贸区，2019年，缅甸国内生产总值760亿美元，人均1407美元。
