希腊共和国（The Hellenic Republic），简称希腊，首都雅典，位于欧洲巴尔干半岛最南端。北邻保加利亚、马其顿、阿尔巴尼亚，东北与土耳其接壤，西南濒爱奥尼亚海，东临爱琴海，南濒地中海。属亚热带地中海气候。地形以山地为主，平原狭小，矿产资源丰富。总面积131957平方千米，海岸线长约15021千米，全国分为13个行政省（大区）和325个行政市。截至2022年9月，总人口1043.2万人，98%以上为希腊人，其余为穆斯林及其他少数民族。官方语言为希腊语，东正教为国教。

希腊是经济中等发达国家，经济基础较薄弱，工业制造业较落后，海运业与农业较发达。是联合国创始会员国，欧盟，北约，经合组织成员国。希腊是东南欧地区重要国家，在巴尔干半岛具有较大影响力。2021年国内生产总值为1821亿欧元。
